Story of the islands begins...

The waters began to rise. Slowly enough at first, that the people ignored it continuing on doing what they have always done. Then, what is know as "the great rise" started. Waters came from all sides engulfing the shores, rushing into great cities and up the sides of metal structures as if silver colliding with silver. Saturating dry sands deep in the continents that stretched for miles. Finally drowning out all noise, all grime, all greed, that once was and now has been relegated to the mighty blue depth where surely enough it will be forgotten. When the waters finally stopped rising, all that was left peeking out above the surface as far as the eye could see were islands. 

This is our story, we are people of the islands.
