One, however, stands out for its far-flung origins and universal benefits. Shea is a natural active ingredient derived from the shea nut, a wild West African tree: Butyrospermum Parkii. This exceptionally robust tree can live for up to three centuries! A rich beige paste is extracted from the nut, which is then processed into butter. Shea Butter is world-renowned for its nourishing and protective properties. Rich in vitamins A, D, E and F, as well as fatty acids, it nourishes the skin, helping it to defend itself against dehydration and external aggression.
